EWAGLOS – Illustrated Glossary of Conservation Terms for Wall Paintings and Architectural Surfaces.
Publikacja, opracowana w jedenastu językach, podkreśla rolę, jaką profesjonalnie przygotowane wielojęzyczne słowniki odgrywają w realizacji międzynarodowych projektów konserwatorskich, potrzebę wypracowania wspólnego języka w dziedzinie konserwacji-restauracji i znaczenie współpracy międzynarodowej w sferze tworzenia wspólnej terminologi. Rdzeń słownika stanowi około 200 definicji terminów często stosowanych w dziedzinie konserwacji-restauracji malowideł ściennych i powierzchni architektonicznych. Wstęp do książki przybliża konserwatorom, studentom i decydentom złożoność problematyki związanej z tworzeniem i stosowaniem takiej terminologii. Książkę kończy obszerna bibliografia tej wyspecjalizowanej dziedziny.
Koordynator projektu zachęca do nadsyłania uwag i sugestii związanych z książką.

EWAGLOS – Illustrated Glossary of Conservation Terms for Wall Paintings and Architectural Surfaces is now available
EwaGlos, which has been developed in eleven languages, highlights the crucial role that professionally developed multilingual vocabularies play in international preservation campaigns. The illustrated glossary stresses the importance of a common language in the conservation field, and the role that international cooperation plays in creating this common terminology. The core of the glossary comprises approximately 200 definitions of terms frequently used in specifications in the field of conservation-restoration of wall paintings and architectural surfaces. The preface of this book introduces professionals, students and decision makers to complex issues encountered in the development, and use, of such terminologies. The book concludes with an extensive bibliography in this specialised field.
